How to deploy your site

Follow these steps after downloading your config.json from the wizard.

Get the review-site repository.
Clone or download it from GitHub. Place your config.json in the root directory (replacing the example one).

Install dependencies.
Run npm install. There are no runtime dependencies — this only installs the build-time tooling.

Sync your reviews.
Run npm run sync. This fetches your reviews from each enabled source and writes data/reviews.json. If you enabled TMDB for movie posters, add a TMDB_API_KEY to a .env file first.

Build the site.
Run npm run build. This produces a fully self-contained static site in the dist/ folder. Preview it locally with npm run dev (opens at localhost:5173).

Deploy.
Upload the contents of dist/ to any static host: Netlify, Vercel, GitHub Pages, Cloudflare Pages, or plain nginx/S3. Re-run npm run all (sync + build) any time you want fresh reviews.

Rebuild your config

Changed your mind about a theme or feature? Go back to the wizard and export a new config.json. Drop it in your repo root and re-run npm run build — reviews are preserved.
